Although very mild and low-sudsing, this is an effective skin cleanser and is safe for all skin types, but especially good for the very young and old due to thin skin and possible heightened sensitivity. It you want to KNOW that a soap is safe to use, this is a highly recommended choice and one I would use for my own child. (I actually use this now instead of liquid hand soap due to all the chemical ingredients).
