Working behind the scenes furiously trying to build up both product – and a better site. The learning curve – for both – is fairly steep. (please see first entry from 1/7/21 regarding “growth of a toddler”). I have discovered a few things over these last few months about all of this.
I enjoy making soap and finding new recipes to try. I enjoy the learning process of soap making (and other things) but am still working on my level of patience with myself as my brain continues to heal. Retention of new info (and some old) is still not easy and I can either choose to be patient with myself (as I teach others the same for themselves) or I can lose the entire lesson – and day – in a fit of toddler-like anger, which only serves to waste time – and sometimes resources. I thoroughly enjoy USING the variety of soaps. I enjoy immensely the art and act of creating and the release of endorphins it provides. I have missed the ability to be creative these last few years and it hasn’t been easy to get it back. The effort will be worth it. Amen. I have been able to enjoy meeting new people through all of this, even if most have been “virtual”. 😊 People, for the most part, are interesting, beautiful and kind – and often fighting many of their own inner battles. I’ve learned to tune out most social media and “news” platforms that try and inform to the contrary. It is often mostly propaganda and I don’t have the time, will or stamina to be caught up in uninformed and useless drama. (THANK YOU to the honest, true and beautiful souls who continue to reach out – you make it all bearable) I do NOT enjoy making – or more accurately packaging – lip balm. Despite many batches and better “equipment” over the years, I am still not gifted at filling those little tubes without making a mess and wasting product. Ah well, into each life a little beeswax and butter must fall. Stay well – stay happy (as much as possible) and stay hydrated.
