Just a few short weeks ago, I was blessed to spend time “up north” visiting precious pieces of my heart ❤️ and was teased with 2 days in a row of almost 90. NINETY DEGREES. In NH. In April. Circle back to today and it’s been cool 🥶 and WET ever since here outside Philly. The pup 🐶 is going stir crazy (and taking me with her 🤪) and we are biting at the bit for some glorious SPRING weather before that Philly SWASS hits. Like a brick 🧱. In the forehead. A very WET HOT brick. And now, back to our regularly scheduled program…
Progress has been made on many fronts. The learning curve on the “light triangle” and aperture priority continues 📷. Backdrops have been created (which I’ve enjoyed immensely) to showcase product and a Gallery has been started on the website. Much more work and refining need to be done, but baby steps 👣 is my mantra and I do try to walk my talk. I have begun to offer “soap by the loaf” 🫧 due to a few inquiries and it looks like it may be a solid seller. The site needs to be updated accordingly, but expect each loaf to cost 10% less than buying 10 individual bars of the same soap. The shipping savings will also be substantial (most packages run $10-16 for each shipment, and the soap loaf should be $13.50 ish, at least for the time being. I have no control over these costs, obviously). Dandelion salve🌱🌿 has been created in a first ever small batch and will be offered once I’ve had a chance to use it myself for a week or two. The claims vary, of course, but in short: As an antibacterial, germicide and anti-fungal ingredient, dandelion detoxifies the skin, clears out pores, gets rid of acne and prevents acne breakouts in the future. Dandelion flowers have pain relieving and anti-inflammatory properties, so this salve is good for all kinds of aches and pains. It is particularly good for sore and tired muscles and joints. Dandelion salve is also soothing and moisturizing for dry, cracked, and itchy skin. I’m looking to see about the moisturizing and pain-relieving effects, specifically. Early usage (just 2 days) shows promise. 🤞🏻 Thanks to all who continue to support both myself and the efforts of this small business. Without you, it’s all for naught. I hope that you each continue to enjoy the snippets of learning I am able to share and the products that come of that learning. The Herbalism journey 🚶🏻♀️will be a lifelong one. More to come on that front. Happy Monday, all. Happy EVERY day. #makingitcount
