Just gave my box of “natural mica powder” away on our “pay nothing” local FB website. Never used. Bought it early in my enthusiasm for creating beautiful soaps (eventually) and at almost a year into this journey, I found it in one of my boxes and read up on it further. I’ve been watching many YouTube videos and reading various sources on all things soap. I still love seeing some of the stunningly beautiful creations that people make, but don’t dwell on them if they are using “colorants and fragrances” that I know I’ll never use. The entire reason I started with making my own soaps was to ditch any and all chemicals that might be harmful and that cuts out a LOT of ingredients. So be it. What it leaves me is the secure knowledge that what I am using – and selling – are the best ingredients I can find to incorporate in my products. The aesthetics of said products are still very much a work in progress and cannot compare to much of what skilled artisans are offering in appearance (or scent) BUT – they will rival any of said products in benefits and since that was the entire purpose of this journey, I am a resounding success (or at least one in progress). Add to that the benefit of having a plethora of some of the most awesome products to choose from right in my own home, and I could not be happier with how far I’ve come. Looking forward to sharing more product with all who are interested in healthy living habits. You can care now, or pay (dearly) later. (in Rx, and other “fixes”) Choose wisely. On another note, the basement smells amazing. CP Peppermint/Rosemary loaf and HP Eucalyptus/Spearmint loaf curing as I finish writing this. One of the BEST things about this journey has been trying all these awesome soaps out myself. I will never go back to commercially produced products again. The fun – and learning – continues. #makingitcount
