Let’s talk ingredients, sources, and why they’re so important. In particular, let’s look at your deodorant. If you use an average mass-produced commercial product (as I did for MANY years) chances are great that it: 1. Contains aluminum (as in, anti-perspirant – because sweat, EW!) 2. Contains a slew of ingredients and chemicals, many of which you have NO idea of what they actually are – or do. So, in light of this information, which many people are kinda, sorta, aware of, why do we continue to buy and apply this stuff to our bodies? Because, in my opinion, we have been conditioned to believe that sweating is somehow offensive. And it causes us to (ugh) smell horrific (think TOXINS). So, we sidle up to the counter, behind the masses of like-minded humans, to buy this mixture of chemical potions with which to, over time, poison ourselves. LITERALLY. We poison our bodies with things that are not meant to be in it, for by now, you know that what you put ON your body, is just as important as what you put INTO it. And what you are putting under those armpits (and elsewhere, in some instances) is surely running through your bloodstream causing all kinds of ill effects to your health, many of which are so vague that you may not even attribute them to something as seemingly innocuous as the deodorant you were “taught” to use as a teenager. Time to STOP and RESEARCH. You owe it to yourself and your health to do better. Deodorant is NOT difficult to make, nor is it expensive when you think about your health. If *WHEN* you decide to proceed with the change, you’ll need to detox from the poisons first. You can’t just switch up and not expect to experience a transitional period with side effects. Typically, this will only last 2-4 weeks, so you may want to plan around “important events” (say, getting married, a job interview, someplace you need to wear your fancy clothes, etc). At that point, you should be able to enjoy the healthful benefits of an all-natural, organic deodorant without ever having to worry again about poisoning your body. Now, go check out what ELSE is in your bathroom/medicine cabinet to see what other chemicals lie in wait. 🤢 Next up, ask me about Essential Oils and why I LOVE them. 💗
