Just finishing “whipping up” (literally) some body butter. For V Day, for February, for discerning buyers… (who am I kidding?) for ME! I’ve made body butter for years now, and it’s GREAT for your skin. SO nourishing and without all those nasty added chemicals swimming around in your bloodstream doing who KNOWS what kind of damage? I’ve made a TON of unscented (the better to share for those sensitive peeps) and also with EO’s to safely add both a wonderful fragrance AND additional benefits (the peppermint is great for increasing focus!) My favorite, thus far though, has GOT to be cocoa. Or it was until I read about the additional benefits of vanilla, which is a scent I also love, and more specifically, vanilla BEAN (which also happens to be my favorite home-made ice cream ingredient). I can’t even finish the clean up yet. I had to slather every last drop of the bowl, beater and spatula on myself and now, I am wafting in magnificent silky CHOCOLATE AWESOMENESS! I posted a “chocotini body butter” picture somewhere already (FB/IG? Maybe both?) but here it is again – for staging purposes and my own personal usage.  (because well, I’m worth so much more than L’Oreal). I’m trying to figure out if I should just mass package it or try something “cute” (there are a few who will be gifted the “cute”) but if it flies out as quickly as I anticipate, I’m going to triple the batch next time.

So it’s been a minute…or so. Life just keeps getting in the way, right? There’s cleaning, and grocery shopping, and dog walking and…JOB HUNTING (ugh) to be done. I just want to make SOAP – and paint and draw! <wahhhhh>
So, the newest item to come out of the creative closet is just what the doctor ordered (literally, actually, since I was a TNT to the rx suggestions HA!) Go forth – and create! It’s good for the soul and the spirit! Here…ladies and gents…it is. (still in need of a clear coat but I just couldn’t wait for the unveiling).

It feels great to finally take a brush back in hand and get something colorful to look at. It’s been far, FAR too long for me. Hopefully this unleashes more creativity for the future.
To all who have inquired about product, etc, and sent in a form or email, my apologies for the lagging response time. I will set up calendar times to be sure and answer all the questions (and feedback) I received so that I get better at that. J

Moving forward, more webinars to attend for future training, more soaps & creams to be made, and a surprise piece that I am praying turns out as well as it has in my mind’s eye for a special someone.

​Here's to the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Maker of soaps (me) & buyers of soaps (each of YOU) - and such. This has been a very long time in coming and I am still in the process of learning, so this journey, should you choose to follow it, will be something akin to watching the growth of a toddler, with all the unexpected, correctable (and quite possibly amusing) mishaps and teaching moments. This space (bloggity bloggy) will be my own diary of sorts – an accountability to myself and each of you.
